Reebok began designing the first shoe for Allen Iverson while he was still running NCAA dance floors in the Georgetown Hoyas colors. It was certain that Iverson would be picked very high in the draft and would quickly hit the NBA floor. Allen himself was heavily involved in the design of the shoe, placing the greatest emphasis on harnessing Iverson's speed and dynamics. In 1996, the first batch of Reebok Question hit store shelves, interestingly only in two cities - DC and Philly. Warehouses emptied very quickly, after 2 days the model was sold out. Sellers talked about pilgrimages from Delaware and Boston, 3-4 hours' drive away. Encouraged by the great success of Reebok, he decided not to withdraw the model from the market and left it on the trading floor for many years. The design of the first shoe signed by Iverson was very universal, so it quickly moved from the dance floor to the street. There he was no less successful, becoming one of the icons of street fashion. Everyone liked him, rich and poor, tall and short, fat and skinny - everyone liked the little man who runs out onto the dance floor every day and fights giants as equals.
