adidas D.O.N. Issue 3

Watch our, here goes the newest Nike PG5! Wait, no, it’s not that shoe. It’s adidas D.O.N. Issue #3. Yes, they look very similar and we can’t decide on which one is better. But, we can tell you what’s inside of them. Today, we will take a look at newest Donovan Mitchell model – adidas D.O.N. Issue 3.


Utah Jazz shooting guard is often compared to Dwyane Wade, thanks to his explosivness, athleticism and leader mentality. For the third staight year, adidas has brought him a signature sneaker which is a great story for a player from a team like Utah Jazz – it means that they are realy back on the basketball map. In terms of overall shape, yes, this shoe realy looks like Paul Goerge Nike sneakers, but it’s good to see that adidas designers are really looking for a competitivness with it’s biggest rival.

Adidas D.O.N. Issue 3 are made mostly our of synthetic mesh which is a good information if you like lightweight sneakers. Also, well profiled heel counter will take care of every unnecessary movement during the play and special TPU clips placed in crucial areas will provide extra durability of this model. What is a good thing, is a fact that we finaly don’t get this vast three stripes logo – just a tiny little reminder about this shoe origin are placed next to the heel counter. You can also find the Don – Spida logo placed on the tongue.

When we go lower, we can see the lightstrike cushioned midsole, which is full length and it was reinforced with a TPU plate that goes from heel to forefoot. It’s a very good working and well balanced technology which provides both, tons of cushion and great courtfeel during a basketball game or workout.

Outsole of the shoe is basicaly made of multidirectional pattern which is based on many connected quadrangles – this system covers all movements and it’s safe to say that with usage of durable adidas rubber – they will be the ones that will last on the outdoor play. Now, before the new season tips off is a good Chance to grab these unique sneakers. Don’t wait and be like Spida – Mitchell.
